The risk of fluent answers
Language models can compose convincing text even when they lack reliable underlying documents. Financial research requires a different contract: retrieve permissioned source material, identify the precise passage and limit conclusions to what the evidence supports.
A system should distinguish deterministic calculations from narrative interpretation. Models are not authoritative calculators or independent proof of a financial statement.
Trace every transformation
A document enters an ingestion pipeline with an origin, publication date and rights record. Extracted tables preserve their period, unit, currency, source location and any transformation applied. Analysts can then inspect both the original and the normalised data.
Generated paragraphs should link to their supporting passages. Unsupported claims should be rejected or visibly marked as requiring investigation.
Make review a real workflow
An analyst may correct extraction issues, a compliance reviewer may assess publication suitability and an editor may prepare the final narrative. These are separate actions with a version history and audit trail.
The final published document should show its publication date, update history, methodology, disclosures and the difference between reported facts and estimates.
BELLZERO Intelligence roadmap
BELLZERO Intelligence is a planned source-grounded research system, not a live connected financial adviser. The current website demonstrates browser-local analytical tools and synthetic data only.
A future production system will require vetted data access, human review, secure storage, role controls, and a legal assessment of the activities and claims it supports.
Questions worth asking.
- Can every claim be traced?
- How are contradictions handled?
- Who approves publication?
